Karhu “Laulujoutsen” Pack

by Henrik Buzzi

In 1985, Karhu launched the “Trainer.” A pair stood out in Karhu's archives, the pair in question consisted of soft yellow nylon, light grey suede and a dark grey M-logo. In turn, the colour combination reminded Karhu's team of Finland’s national bird, the Laulujoutsen (Whooper Swan), known for its yellow and black beak and its appearance on Finland’s 1 Euro coin.

To pay homage to the Whooper Swan, Karhu releases the “Laulujoutsen” Pack. This latest release lands in some of Karhu's most popular styles: the Aria &Fusion 2.0. The material selection for each model consists of soft pigskin grey suede accented with tonal hits of yellow. Each model features a solid white EVA midsole o‑ering a light feel when combined with the upper’s colour selection The Karhu “Laulujoutsen” Fusion 2.0 & Aria releases May 4 at selected retailers such as hanon.
