The DISTINCT LIFE and Reebok have gotten back together and this time with the first shoe out of a series of sneakers that will fall under the theme of #DistinctViews. The #DistinctViews is a hash tag created by the DISTINCT LIFE and used to tag interesting photos on various social media platforms. This series of sneaker projects is inspired by the photography culture, more specifically some talented photographers. The DISTINCT LIFE and Reebok are kicking off the #DistinctViews series with a GL6000 MID designed by company founder Rick Williams. This shoe takes its inspiration from a popular DSLR camera, while using a mixture of nubuck and ripstop to boast similar details that would be seen on this particular camera. The shoe also features a collage of iconic Detroit architecture shot by Detroit-based renowned photographer, Jeremy Deputat, on both the outsole and sockliner to pay homage to the Motor City. Jeremy Deputat was chosen by Williams to be the first photographer represented in the #DistinctViews Series. Chosen not only because he is a renowned photographer hailing from the same home city but he is also the person who taught Williams the fundamentals of photography. They have worked together on a number of projects including the first DISTINCT LIFE x Bicycle playing cards “Dirty 30 for 30” deck. The DISTINCT LIFE x Reebok GL6000 MID will be available in VERY limited quantities starting on July 15th at Distinctlife
