UBIQ once again has teamed up with Asics for these Hazard collaboration. There is story behind these sneakers.
The following manuscript was found after the production of what was supposed to be a routine collaboration project with Asics.
Saturday, January 24th – We thought it would okay, we thought we could just slip it by without notifying the company about the materials used to make the shoes. We figured we could just make a special pair for ourselves, and lock them away, so no one would be harmed by the hazardous materials used in the construction of shoes. But we were wrong…so wrong.
We used the Asics Gel Lyte V as the model to ensure the binding of breathable mesh and premium suede overlays. We dipped the uppers and laces in a lime hue as a warning those who may let their curiosity get the best of them. We added “Gore-Tex” as an extra precaution in case they ever fell into the wrong hands. We never thought it would happen, but it did. They were stored in a unmarked warehouse in the city, however we returned to the location only to realize they were no longer there. And to our horror, we found out they have been put into production. Now, no one is safe.
