In a new, limited edition drop, hummel presents two new Marathona OG’s with creative direction by Shigeyuki Kunii, Creative Director at MITA. With an utmost contemporary aesthetic, the two sneakers are a reinforcement of the collaborative effort that was first presented in December 2016. As the second drop from an ongoing collaborative effort with Japanese sneaker store MITA, hummel now presents two new interpretations of the Marathona OG – a classic running silhouette first presented in the 80s as a long-distance running shoe. With creative direction by Shigeyuki Kunii, Creative Director at MITA, the new Marathona OG consists of two different versions of a striking design.
With a premium suede, mesh, and cotton canvas upper, the sneakers have a solid EVA midsole and a strong white outsole for the finish. The refreshing yellow/khaki colorway is contrasted by another design in two shades of blue. Both sneakers have a strong attention to details with white contrast stitching and come with two different laces – a unicolor flat lace and a two-tone round lace. Releasing in a limited edition of 200 pairs globally on September 9.
