One of the most coveted releases from the esteemed adidas Originals City Series, size? is pleased to bring the Dublin back into the spotlight as part of size? exclusive Archive Collection, this time in the darker ‘Taiwan’ colorway.
First introduced in 1976, the Dublin, alongside it’s other siblings from the City Series, was originally designed as a lightweight training shoe. Very minimal in design and material application, it made for the perfect base silhouette to apply a myriad of different renditions to sum up the personality of each of the nominated cities included in the series. The Dublin shape itself was also replicated for the London, Koln, and Berlin releases.
The origins of this ‘Taiwan’ colorway of the Dublin are somewhat mysterious, and no one can pinpoint exactly how and when it surfaced!. Thought to have been originally made in Taiwan as a licensed product, the color palette is much darker than the first OG release, changing the vibrant red stripes out for black and utilising a much darker blue dyed suede across the upper. Only a handful of original vintage pairs are said to be in existence, so this could well be your only opportunity to get a hold of a pair as who knows when the next rendition might be!
