CEO at FITINK, Christian Gjeruldsen, is very proud to stand behind what is today, the first Norwegian fashion brand that offers custom FIT sneakers.

“The whole vision of FITINK is to produce quality products whom are tailored around costumers expression and personality. Therefore it was a very easy decision to get into the custom sneaker business, not to mention that it is just a matter of time before this trend becomes as huge in Europe as it already is in USA and UK.” – Christian Gjeruldsen

FITINK is aiming for the customers who want the popular products to be tailored around their preferred desires. These customers demand more of already popular products, they are looking for a distinctive expressions from a popular and classic sneaker series.

“We wish to complement popular shoes series, and simultaneously making our customers happy. Simply, custom FIT sneakers that fit the personality and uniqueness of the your desires.” – Christian Gjeruldsen

Custom sneakers might sound like something new here in Norway, but it has been kept underground for over 30 years. Back it the days, it was very common to merge high-end materials and brands such as Gucci, Fendi and Louis Vuitton, and convert this in to high end streetwear products. ANd Christian Gjeruldsen is very influenced by the infamous harlem designer Dapper Dan.

“For those of you who are not familiar with Dapper Dan, he was called: The HipHop Tailor Of Harlem. Dapper Dan had started a customizing empire on the 80’s / 90’s in Harlem. The style he created was called "Streetified Luxury". He made everything from customized jackets to sneakers. It was very common of him to merge different brands with each other.” – Christian Gjeruldsen

During the 80’s and 90’s era, such action was considered illegal, and so Dapper Dan was forced to go underground with this trend. Now that the laws have changed, Dapper Dan deserves to be honored as a visionary that foresaw a trend that was 30 years ahead of its time. Incredible!

“Best thing about collaborating is that you take the best of two worlds and merge it into a unique product. We started FITINK with the purpose of making dope collabs with personalities that we find authentic. Our first collaboration was with the music collective, GxxMUSIC. The music collective is known for their dark sound, so it was obvious to name the clothing collection for “BLVCK”. Our goal is to further develop, through these type of collaborations, the Urban culture in Norway and the rest of Scandinavia.” – Christian Gjeruldsen

You can meet the founders of FITINK at Sneaker Con in London, in December. And if that is far out, we are happy to announce that they plan to attend Oslo Sneaker Fest in spring 2018.
